Singer-songwriter Alicia Keys has decided that anyone without makeup can still rock the red carpet. Back in 2016, Keys chose to adopt a new life policy: no more cosmetics, whatsoever. That’s right! While some wondered if “No One” singer could really do it, Keys has since rocked the no-makeup look.
A year later, Keys explained her radical decision in an article published in the online magazine Lenny Letter. “Every time I left the house, I would be worried if I didn’t put on makeup – what if someone wanted a picture? What if they POSTED it?” Keys wrote. “[It was] based too much on what other people thought of me.”
