Jack Nicholson – $6.5 Million, Mulholland Drive Estate
Familiarity with Mulholland Drive is second nature to Jack Nicholson. Since 1969, the acclaimed actor and director has owned a spacious property in this area. Over the decades, his real estate holdings gradually increased, and today Nicholson owns four estates along the famed Mulholland Drive.
Among these properties, the crown jewel is the residence once owned by another Hollywood legend, Marlon Brando. Following Brando’s passing in 2004, the property entered the market, catching Nicholson’s eye. His vision was to tear down the existing structure, which sprawled across nearly 40,000 square feet, and create lush gardens filled with frangipani blossoms. Shelling out $6.5 million for this endeavor certainly raises eyebrows, don’t you agree?
