Unlike many other celebrity couples, actors Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard first met at the birthday party of a mutual friend, in 2007. The former partier and self-described “good girl,” hit it off immediately and started dating. While they engaged two years later, they waited until gay couples could marry as well. Finally, in 2013, Bell and Shepard married in 2013, at a Beverly Hills courthouse, spending a total of $150 on their wedding. Now, they’ve become one of the longest-lasting couples in Hollywood!
To stand the test of time, Bell and Shepard say it’s essential to take your relationship as seriously as your job. “You do have to take it as seriously as you take your work commitments,” Shepard told People Magazine in 2017. “It has to be scheduled and you have to prioritise it or it doesn’t happen.”
