Sometimes, the best performances are the ones that go off-script, and Katy Perry proved this during the 2008 MTV Latin America Awards. While belting out her breakout hit “I Kissed a Girl,” she dove headfirst into a towering pink cake, setting the stage for what should have been a sweet finale.
Instead, the frosting-covered stunt turned the stage into an ice rink. She slipped once, then again, and ended up crawling off in a hilarious, icing-smeared exit that had the crowd roaring.
