Hollywood loves a dramatic red carpet moment, but few could have predicted what Matt Stone and Trey Parker had in store at the 2000 Academy Awards. Instead of tuxedos, the pair arrived in full gowns, one channeling Jennifer Lopez’s famous green Versace dress and the other parodying Gwyneth Paltrow’s pastel pink Ralph Lauren look.
As if the outfits weren’t outrageous enough, the duo later admitted they were under the influence when hitting the carpet, adding a surreal edge to the whole spectacle.
