Most know actor Ed Asner best from his role on the hit ’70s and ’80s on the sitcom The Mary Tyler Moore Show, as well as its successful spin-off drama Lou Grant. Fun fact: Asner is one of the few T.V. actors to portray the same character in both a comedy and drama. So, it’s no wonder that, afterward, he quickly earned roles in movies like Rich Man, Poor Man and even the millennial hit Elf.
