Janis Paige – 99 Years Old

Actress Janis Paige is one of the few remaining survivors of Hollywood’s Golden era. At the start of the second World War, Paige began acting right after she finished high school. One of her first gigs was in the band of pin-up singers for the U.S. Air Force. She took on the screen name “Black Widow Girl” and toured the world, lifting the spirits of American soldiers.
After the war, Paige moved to New York to pursue her dreams of becoming a Broadway star. Eventually, her career as an actress took off, and in 1954, she had her debut role as Babe in the musical The Pajama Game. Now nearing 100 years old, Paige has retired from acting and enjoys a quiet life away from the public eye.
