A friend of Taylor’s walked into the studio during her session with Max Martin and Johan Shellback, talking about how he’d heard that she and her ex would be reconciling. Of course, if you were still reeling from a heartbreak and all too aware of how messed up your past relationship was, you’d probably create a pop anthem to make your stance clear.
