Chely Wright and Lauren Blitzer – Together Since 2010
Chely Wright, a trailblazing country music artist who publicly came out as gay in 2010, met Lauren Blitzer, an LGBTQ+ activist and Sony Music executive, shortly after her announcement. Their connection was immediate, leading to an engagement in April 2011.
The couple married on August 20, 2011, in a ceremony held at Lauren’s aunt’s home in Connecticut. Both a rabbi and a reverend officiated the event to honor their respective faiths. They welcomed identical twin sons, George Samuel and Everett Joseph, in 2013. After Chely had and recovered from a health crisis in 2018, she’s since used her experience to raise awareness.
