As the daughter of film superstar Judy Garland and multi-awarded director Vincente Minnelli, there’s no doubt that Liza Minnelli was born into Hollywood royalty. So, it’s no surprise that when she started her Broadway career in 1963, Minnelli’s brilliant acting was quickly rewarded with a Tony award. Entering the world of filmmaking several years later, she starred in musicals like Lucky Lady and Cabaret and eventually became one of the biggest actresses in the world.
These days, Minnelli enjoys semi-retirement and only chooses roles that she truly desires, occasionally making cameos or guest-starring in small roles in television and film projects. Instead, she focuses more on philanthropy and devoting her time to noble causes.
