Robert Clary is not only an amazing actor, but he also has quite a list of job titles under his name. Clary is also a published author, artist, and lecturer. However, Clary is still best known for his role the sitcom Hogan’s Heroes, where he starred as Louis LeBeau. The 93-year-old actor began his career on French radio at the age of 12!
What many people don’t know about Clary is that he’s a survivor of World War II Nazi concentrations camps. In fact, they tattooed him with the identification “A5714″ on his left arm. Clary said: “Signing, entertaining, and being in kind of good health at my age, that’s why I survived. I was very immature and young and not really fully realizing what situation I was involved with.”
