Born in 1977 to Tom Hanks and Samantha Lewes, Colin Hanks inherited his father’s acting chops and charming demeanor. He made his film debut in “That Thing You Do!” (1996), directed by Tom himself. He gained recognition as Alex Whitman on the TV series “Roswell” (1999–2001).

His breakout film role came in “Orange County” (2002), where he portrayed a high school senior navigating college admissions. In 2014, Colin starred as Gus Grimly in the acclaimed series “Fargo,” earning nominations for a Golden Globe and an Emmy. Beyond acting, he directed the documentary “All Things Must Pass” (2015), exploring the rise and fall of Tower Records.
